TWO BOOKS FOR HARRY Centennial Celebrations

TUESDAY, MARCH 10 –  6 PM Harry Bertoia’s Natal House in SAN LORENZO

A new important appointment, organized within the “From Nature to Sign” exhibition, will take place at Harry Bertoia’s natal house in San Lorenzo d’Arzene.

On March the 10th, at 18.00 hrs, to mark the centennial anniversary of the artist, we will be in touch with CELIA BERTOIA, his youngest daughter, who will talk about the “The Life and Work of Harry Bertoia”, a book she has written with insights that only a daughter could offer, that also reveals the complex man behind the fascinating art.

This will be followed by the presentation of “Arieto’s Birthplace in San Lorenzo”, a delicate object-bookdesigned by the artist STEFANO JUS, who offers a personal interpretation of the place and its surrounding human and natural landscapes as Harry may have experienced them, underlining their influences on his artistic endeavors in North America.

The event is a tribute to the artist by his hometown community, constantly committed to remember, study and promote the work and legacy of Harry Bertoia.
